About the event
Learn with Vedic Ayurveda Practitioner Monica Groover, PhD who has an AD membership with NAMA. In Ayurveda, Shotha (also known as Shopha or Shvayathu) is a fundamental pathological condition that is often correlated with the modern concept of inflammation. However, Shotha is a broader and more nuanced term that encompasses not only the localized inflammatory response but also a wide range of swelling conditions, including edema and effusions, from a holistic perspective. Our focus will be on causes that are not just focused on diet but also karma and energetics.
We will cover the imbalance of dosas, obstruction of channels, the affect on fluid channels (udakavaha srotas), and how to pacify this condition holistically through some basic herbs, diet, and meditation. Suggested donation for the webinar is $10-$20.
Donation must be paid in advance. Donation- (between $10-$20)
