According to Ayurveda, Shitapitta (also spelled Śītapitta, Sheetapitta, or Shita-pitta) is a skin condition that is comparable to urticaria or hives in modern medicine. It is primarily attributed to an imbalance of the Kapha and Vata doshas, and exposure of cold in the body. When these doshas combine with Pitta, they circulate throughout the body, leading to the characteristic skin rashes.
You will learn about shitapitta and how the skin is affected, and its relationship with diet, and, stress as well as karmic stressors.
